As of 6/2009 Z1300 owners worldwide finally have a replacement igniter available for the impossible to find 'one year only' 1981 igniter.
This electronic ignition is a faithful reproduction of the original item.  It has been manufactured using modern components and latest manufacturing techniques.  Each unit is individually tested in an engine simulator for 24 hours and comes with one year warranty.  See my tech article -
